Rosie's Magic HorseRosie’s Magic Horse will be released next month, posthumously, after the death of author Russel Hoban in 2011. Hoban, author of Bedtime for Francis and countless other children’s book, often dealt with difficult topics in some of his books, and it appears this book is no different. After seeing her parents worrying about paying the bills, a little girl (Rosie) wishes upon a used popsicle stick (which turns into a horse) to take her to treasure. Illustrated by Quentin Blake (who illustrated most of Roald Dahl’s books, among many others), the pencil and water-color drawings are bound to be something special. Hoban and Blake had worked together before, so this is likely a very impassioned production.

Rosie’s Magic Horse will be released on Tuesday, February 26th, 2013
