Bedtime MathI really like, no, no, I love the premise of this book: We read children bedtime stories – why don’t we also do some bedtime math? Or to use author Laura Overdeck’s mission statement: to make nightly math as common and beloved as the bedtime story. Bedtime Math attempts to do just that, with the secondary goal of trying to make math fun (as if it wasn’t fun already?!?!?). This book contains over 100 math riddles and accompanying stories, for three different age groups:

  • Wee Ones – Preschool
  • Little Kids – Kindergarten, Grade 1, & Grade 2
  • Big Kids – Grade 2 & up

Bedtime Math will be released on Tuesday, June 25th, 2013

Just in time for summer vacation! But wait – or actually, don’t wait! If you visit the Bedtime Math website, you can sign up to receive daily math problems via email (or just check the site daily) – one for each age group. I can’t sign up, because I already have. And if the illustrations look familiar, it’s because Jim Paillot also illustrates Dan Gutman’s My Weird School series).
