Book StackWhat do you do when your children outgrow their books? It’s not that Sandra Boynton’s board books aren’t good (actually, they’re great), they’re just not of interest to a supercape-wearing 6-year-old. Do you donate them? Of course there are many children in need of books along with many charities who would be glad to accept them. Do you sell them? Do you give them to a library? Do you throw them away (I hope not, unless it’s this one)?

If you don’t keep some, you might regret it. I’m not advocating that you become a hoarder.  I am, however, suggesting that you keep the important ones for both nostalgia and the grandchildren. Publishers Weekly’s ShelfTalker has a nice post about what to do and how to decide which books to keep, as well as why getting rid of print books in a digital world might not be the best idea. Check it out! And don’t get rid of the wrong books!
