Just a refresher: The Crystal Kite Awards are presented annually to outstanding books published in the previous year. Members from the fifteen Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) divisions vote to select a single book written and/or illustrated by an SCBWI member from that particular location. This is a member choice award meant to complement the Golden Kite Awards and Honors.
