Amelia Bedelia Means BusinessIn Amelia Bedelia Means Business, Amelia Bedelia is a really funny. Oh, just so you know-she’s a girl. Amelia Bedelia really wants a new bike, but her parents say she has to buy half of it, but she doesn’t have enough money. She asks, “Which half costs more? The front half or the back half?” So she tries out many jobs to earn enough money so she can buy half of the bike.

She tries out being a waitress at Pete’s Diner. One customer wants a piece of pie and she goes very slowly. So the customer says “Give me a piece of pie. Step on it!” So she gets the piece of pie and steps on it! Heh heh heh! So the owner, Pete, obviously fires her. She tries some other jobs, too.

At the end there’s a race, and the winner gets a free bicycle. Amelia Bedelia wants to win the bicycle. She brings lemon tarts with her, and all these dogs break loose because they want the lemon tarts. That makes her ride so fast that she wins the race. I thought that was funny.
